Her ministry in song continues to grow and this is a welcome edition to any lover of gospel music collection. I love the simplicity of the Hymns Medley (Tamela and the organ dancing with each other in praise!); certainly Kirk' footprint on the lead single Take Me To The King speaks for itself. But my favorite is "This Place" I love the lyric - "Never thought I'd live beyond my past, until I found Jesus I'd never thought I'd live in this place..."I give it five stars - solid all the way through! When I say I've been waiting for an album like this, I mean for the last few years I've witnessed a serious decline in the quality of gospel music. So much to the point where I hardly purchase gospel music at all anymore. But this album more than makes up for years of disappointment! The album is not clouded by suggestive lyrics or overly urbanized beats, it's a fluid mix of the old and new gospel! I absolutely love this album! I haven't been able to play an entire gospel album without skipping over at least half of the tracks until this one... Job WELL DONE!! |
